The Equestrian Team competed at Mystic Valley Hunt Club among nine other teams on Saturday. Placing third, the Loomis team broke its high score record with 29 points overall and finished just a few points behind the first- and second-place teams. In addition to team success, individual riders placed exceptionally well.

Highlights include:

Freshman Avery Lena-1st over fences and 2nd on the flat;
Sophomore Kelly Titus-1st over fences and 3rd on the flat;
Junior India Carpenter-2nd over fences and 2nd on the flat;
Junior Abby Wade-2nd over fences and 3rd on the flat;
Senior Ally Piccone-2nd over fences and 6th on the flat;
Sophomore Molly Berinato-5th on the flat

Currently, five members of the equestrian team are qualified for Regional Finals, which will be held on March 7. Qualifiers include Ally, Abby, India, Avery, and senior Michaela Esteban. There are two more potential qualifiers who will complete in additional horse shows before their final points are determined.
