Kravis ’63 Center for Excellence in Teaching provides the space and time to guide and nurture faculty in their pursuit of pedagogical excellence by creating a sense of ownership and intentionality surrounding professional growth; the ultimate goal is to instill in faculty the same passion for lifelong learning that we aim to instill in our students.

The more we can learn from each other the better, says Sara Deveaux, the director of the Kravis Center for Excellence in Teaching. Sharing wisdom is exactly what took place on December 4, as Loomis Chaffee and the Kravis Center hosted their second AI symposium for independent schools.
Much like new students who participate in a multi-day orientation, faculty new to Loomis Chaffee experience their own orientation. The primary goal of the three-day program that began on August 24, is to make Loomis Chaffee’s newest faculty comfortable and prepared to be as successful as they can.
Educators from New England and beyond gathered on April 25 for a Generative Artificial Intelligence Symposium at Loomis Chaffee. Sponsored by Loomis Chaffee’s Kravis Center for Excellence in Teaching, the symposium featured a robust program with presenters from various independent schools.
