Program Overview
Known for our excellence in girls swimming and diving, Loomis consistently finishes among the top schools at the Division I New England Championships, where the Pelicans have captured the title seven times. The program also has won the Western New England Championships 18 times and has produced more than 30 swimming and diving All-Americans and qualifiers. Loomis has won the Founders League Championship 13 times.
We emphasize individualized training and instruction, focusing on improvement throughout the season. Our team is composed of hard-working swimmers and divers for whom individual goals and improvement are as important as team goals. Our coaching staff has extensive experience coaching at all ability levels, assuring ample instruction and individualized attention in all aspects of training.

The girls swimming and diving team won its third consecutive Founders League championship on Saturday, February 24, notching its 32nd league title in program history. On the boys side, the Loomis Chaffee team earned runner-up honors with an impressive set of performances.
Bob DeConinck coached his final home meet at the helm of the Loomis Chaffee varsity girls swimming and diving team on February 10, and a large crowd gathered to celebrate his long coaching career and legacy. Among the crowd were parents, coaches, teachers, students, and over 30 alumni who had been mentored by Coach DeConinck in the past.
The Loomis Chaffee Athletics Department hosted its annual Winter Varsity Awards on the evening of Sunday, March 25.
