Program Overview

Grounded in a tradition of excellence, the Loomis field hockey program has earned a reputation as one of the top prep school programs in the country. Competing in the Class A New England Prep, Western New England Prep, and Founders leagues, the Pelicans are among the top teams in these highly competitive leagues year in and year out.

Loomis field hockey welcomes newcomers and veterans to the sport. We are dedicated to teaching the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-respect while fostering a family atmosphere of inclusivity where each athlete can reach her full potential. Playing with dignity and committed to excellence, we pledge to uphold the standards necessary to succeed as a Loomis student athlete. Our varsity team consistently earns the National Field Hockey Coaches Association’s top ranking with Academic All-Americans and All-Americans.

Our daily training includes skill work, speed and conditioning, weight training, mindfulness, goal-setting, and nutrition for the female athlete.
