Kelly Titus, a rising sophomore and member of the Loomis equestrian team, placed seventh last weekend at the Connecticut Horse Shows Association Medal Finals.

For several of the Loomis girls varsity hockey players, it has been a busy summer chock full of hockey. Senior Brittany Bugalski, sophomore Linda Essery, and incoming junior Paige Capistran all attended the U18 USA Hockey National Development Camp while sophomore Sharon Frankel and Head Coach Liz Leyden took part in the U14/15 USA Hockey National Development Camp in St. Cloud, Minnesota for a week in July.

Rising sophomore Jason Liu has not been home to Windsor, Conn., much following the end of his freshman year at Loomis. Instead he has been enjoying a successful summer season of golf.

Sports Information Director and Head Field Hockey Coach Bobbi Moran presented at the Harrow Sports/National Field Hockey Coaches Association's (NFHCA) Preseason Workshop at RPI on Saturday, August 9. Field hockey Olympians Andrea Wieland and Jill Reeve, head coach of Brown University, also presented.

After a recent second-place finish and previous first-place finish in the very competitive Connecticut Hunter Jumper Association (CHJA) Children's Medal Class, rising senior rider and 2014-15 LC equestrian team co-captain Ally Piccone has secured her spot in the 2014 CHJA Medal Finals.

The sounds of summer sports camps are in the Island air this week as the Loomis Chaffee Athletics Department kicks off a plethora of camps for all ages.

Loomis Chaffee Sports Information Director and head field hockey coach Bobbi Moran offers some final bits of wisdom and thanks to our departing seniors as they graduate and move on from the Island.

Loomis Chaffee's Athletics Department has created an online student leadership training program that will be rolled out this week. The program is designed to help Loomis students gain the tools for leadership and citizenship, enabling student athletes in particular to improve their self-confidence and self-awareness and to become better leaders on and off the field, at Loomis Chaffee and beyond.

Congratulations to Williams College senior Chris Lee '10, who garnered All-American honors at the NCAA Division III National Track & Field Championships on Saturday, finishing fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
