On Wednesday, May 20, members of the Loomis Chaffee Athletics Department were joined by Head of School Sheila Culbert, spring varsity athletes, and their coaches and parents to celebrate the success of the 2015 interscholastic varsity spring season.

Loomis Chaffee head boys lacrosse coach Bill Lee has been named Coach of the Year by the Western New England Lacrosse Coaches' Association. The award was presented Thursday, May 21, at the annual meeting of the coaches' association.

Sophomores David Miccoli and Jason Liu packed a lethal one-two punch in leading the boys golf team to victory Wednesday over 23 schools in the 42nd annual Kingswood Oxford Invitational Golf tournament, which doubles as the Western New England Championship. The win signified only the second Western New England title in the history of the Loomis boys golf program.

The Loomis Chaffee Athletics Department notes the last week of spring sports by honoring the contributions of our final group of student athletes recognized as Pelicans of the Week.

The Loomis Chaffee Athletics Department will honor the achievements of the spring varsity athletics teams on Wednesday, May 20, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Loomis Dining Hall.

Academic awards were presented to juniors and seniors in all departments of study Tuesday at the All-School Awards Ceremony in the Olcott Center, and the Student Council presented its Teacher of the Year Award to math instructor Barry Moran.

Kelsey Millward '12 and her Connecticut College teammates, including former Pelican Samantha Pierce '12, won a third consecutive College Water Polo Association Division III Championship this season.

On Wednesday, May 20, the boys varsity lacrosse game versus Avon Old Farms will be live streamed by host site GKess Films. Watch Loomis play for the Founders League title. You may watch the game live at 2:30 p.m. EST by following this link.

On Sunday, May 17, Loomis Chaffee hosted the 2015 Northern Connecticut Time Trials for the Special Olympics. More than 300 volunteers, including Loomis faculty, staff, students, and families, helped to make Loomis' second year with the Special Olympics a huge success.

For the first time in the history of the Loomis Chaffee boys golf program, the 2015 team captured the Founders League title on Saturday.
