Diversity & Multiculturalism
The Board of Trustees and the Diversity Task Force invite you to watch the short film, Loomis Chaffee Takes AIM.
AIM is a year-long assessment to identify what Loomis Chaffee does well and where we might improve in the areas of diversity, inclusivity and multiculturalism. All Loomis Chaffee constituencies – students, staff, faculty, parents and alumni - will be involved in this project. For more information on this study you may visit The National Association of Independent Schools website at www.nais.org/equity/
The AIM Climate Survey is currently open! You can take the survey by clicking on the link available to you in the announcement section of your password-protected portal. The survey closes on March 2, so please take a moment to complete it right away!
After a regenerating summer break, the Office of Multicultural Affairs kicked off the school year creating a segment of the New Student Orientation focusing on our school theme, Affirming Identity.
The concepts of diversity and multiculturalism permeate everything we do in our community: from the classroom to dorm life to student life and athletics. The many programs, speakers and events that we host make it clear that our work continues to be a consistent and central focus of our community.
Our school’s commitment and universal appreciation for diversity and multiculturalism is encapsulated in a film created last spring which highlights many of our students.

Enjoy!
