Boys' varsity hockey wins New England Large School Tournament Championship with an exciting three-game journey that began last Wednesday with their quarterfinal round victory at Northfield Mount Hermon. The Pelicans qualified for their first tournament appearance in over 20 years and made it to their first tournament final in program history. On Sunday afternoon, they beat St. Paul's, 3-2, to capture their first tournament championship in program history.

Senior Zechariah Harris placed fifth in the 182-pound weight class at the Prep National Wrestling Tournament at Lehigh University on Saturday, surpassing his No. 9 seed in the tournament and becoming Loomis Chaffee's first All-American wrestler since his older brother, Caleb Harris '11, carried the mantle in 2011.

The boys squash team placed fifth out of 15 schools in the Class B New England Tournament at Pomfret on Saturday with most of the seven Loomis competitors playing their best matches of the season.

The Loomis girls hockey team knew they had to play hard last week to land a spot in the post-season tournament. They needed to post wins against both Northfield Mount Hermon and Deerfield, playing both games in a span of less than 24 hours.
