
Lacrosse legend Casey Powell spent time on campus this week hosting a lacrosse camp with his brothers.
Mr. Powell played for the U.S. national lacrosse team and captained the team during the 2006 World Lacrosse Championship. Mr. Powell now plays for the New York Titans in the indoor National Lacrosse League and is considered by many to be the top lacrosse player in the world. Later this year the NY Titans will be moving to Orlando, Florida to become the Orlando Titans. In the meantime, Casey is taking the summer off to spend more time with his lacrosse camps.
A 1998 graduate of Syracuse University, Mr. Powell and his brothers hosted the Powell Lacrosse Camp this week on campus along with Loomis Chaffee boys head coach Ted Garber. Later this summer Ted will join Casey and the Orlando team to coach down in Florida. This fall Casey will be an assistant lacrosse coach at SUNY Cortland.
