Michelle Winkler '08 Selected As All-American Scholar Athlete

Michelle Winkler '08 has been honored with selection to the 2009-10 National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar team as announced by the NGCA. Michelle is a sport management major at Xavier University where she is also a member of the Xavier University women's golf team and honored with the prestigious accolade.

For Cody Rosen ’08, June 26 started out like any other Saturday in the summer. The Clarkson University hockey player, who recently completed his freshman year, was sitting around the house watching World Cup soccer on television. However, what happened next was an unexpected surprise for the young goaltender from Ontario, Canada.

Situated on 300 acres at the confluence of the Farmington and Connecticut rivers, the Loomis Chaffee campus is surrounded an expanse of fertile meadows that provide 17 of the finest playing fields you’ll find anywhere for outdoor sports in the fall and spring. Home to our own championship teams, the Meadows have been used by the US Women’s National Soccer Team and, for three years in the row, the elite adidas ESP camp, which brings together the top 100 male high school soccer players in the country.
