Loomis is a boarding school in which 62 percent of our students board and 38 percent travel from home. With students representing 30 states and 31 countries, and a diverse day population hailing from more than 49 different communities across the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts, we offer a vibrant academic community with a pluralistic student body. Loomis Chaffee students are artistic, athletic, and innovative. We have students who have competed at the highest levels of music both nationally and internationally; students who have won league titles in soccer, cross country, and track and field; and students who will matriculate at some of America’s finest colleges and universities.
