Girls basketball at Loomis Chaffee has earned itself a reputation throughout New England for hard-court excellence. Pelican basketball is fun, challenging and competitive; team members are hard working, dedicated athletes who love the game of basketball. The program stresses individual skills and personal improvement as well as the importance of team concepts. The varsity team plays a full interscholastic schedule of competitors in the Founders League and from around New England. A highlight of each season is the Loomis Chaffee Classic, a holiday round-robin tournament for eight boys’ and girls’ varsity teams.
