Thank you for your interest in The Loomis Chaffee School. If you have not done so already, I would encourage you to visit our beautiful 300-acre campus located in the heart of New England, only minutes from Hartford, two hours from New York City and Boston, and a short drive from Bradley International airport. as a prospective family, accessibility to our campus, depth of academic and co-curricular opportunities, and affordability will be important factors when selecting your next school. Our location in Windsor, Connecticut, is just one of the advantages you will discover when exploring Loomis Chaffee.

Loomis is a boarding school in which 62 percent of our students board and 38 percent travel from home. With students representing 30 states and 31 countries, and a diverse day population hailing from more than 49 different communities across the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts, we offer a vibrant academic community with a pluralistic student body. Loomis Chaffee students are artistic, athletic, and innovative. We have students who have competed at the highest levels of music both nationally and internationally; students who have won league titles in soccer, cross country, and track and field; and students who will matriculate at some of america’s finest colleges and universities.

We realize that, with the cost of independent school tuition increasing faster than inflation, families must consider the “value added” of an education like ours.
