Capital Giving
Loomis Chaffee was founded through the unparalleled generosity of five siblings who, in the grief of their own children’s demise, pooled their resources to create a school for future generations. Since then, scores of alumni, parents and friends have shared their financial resources with the school.
Over and above operational support through annual giving, capital gifts are used to support and enhance all aspects of the school, including teaching funds, scholarships and campus facilities and improvements.
Endowed Funds
Endowed funds are designed to ensure that money is available in perpetuity for the school. Each year a portion of the accrued interest is used to support programs and initiatives that further the school's mission; the remainder is reinvested so that it will grow every year. These funds may be designated to support financial aid, faculty support or facilities. Or they may remain unrestricted, providing Loomis with the flexibility to direct resources to areas of greatest need. Donors can either add to existing funds or create new naming opportunities (minimum gift levels required).
