Arts Students Present Open-Air Performances

Students in Loomis Chaffee’s music and dance programs presented open-air sampler performances in the Rockefeller Quadrangle on Thursday, October 8.

Musicians in the Jazz Improvisation Ensemble, co-directed by music teachers Ken Fischer and Netta Hadari, presented their rendition of “Straight Life,” composed by Freddie Hubbard. Featured performers for the midday recital included seniors Cal McCandless on drums and Nicole Ramenda on trumpet.

Students in Loomis’ dance ensembles, directed by dance teacher Kate Loughlin, performed choreographed compositions that they worked on during Fall Term 1.
