In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Loomis Chaffee community re-imagined its annual Cultural Outburst multicultural celebration by collecting stories into a “Cultural Outburst” multi-media, digital digest which was distributed to community members via email on Saturday, May 9.
More than 40 individuals including students, faculty, staff, and their families took part in the celebration by sharing the food, music, visual arts, language, history, and geography of their home or affiliated cultures, which were recorded and shared digitally across the school community and beyond.
Coordinated by Loomis Chaffee’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Cultural Outburst represents a slice of our community’s rich and diverse backgrounds. Enjoy being transported, virtually, as members of the Loomis Chaffee community invite you to share in their cultural heritage.
