Two Loomis Chaffee students won national recognition in the 2021 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, announced on March 17 by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers.
Senior Rosalie Lyons was awarded a Gold Medal in Science Fiction & Fantasy writing for her piece titled “Nine Lives.”
Freshman Emily Tang won a Silver Medal in Photography for her work, “Rite of Passage.”
In their 98th year, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the nation's longest-running scholarship and recognition program for young artists and writers in grades 7–12.
