Two Loomis Graduates Win Yale Athletics Award

Each year, the Yale Club and Scholarship Foundation of Hartford, Inc. awards its C. Gilbert Shepard Award to the Yale freshmen from the central and eastern Connecticut regions who best exemplify the leadership qualities and athletic prowess of C. Gilbert Shepard, a Yale crew member in the Class of 1913. This year, Margaret Stover '16 and Bobby Cecere '16 won the award, marking the first time in the award's 40 years that two graduates of the same school have won the award.

Bobby is a pitcher on Yale's baseball team, and Margaret is an important part of the defense on Yale's women's lacrosse team.
