Student Organizations & Affinity Groups

At Loomis Chaffee, student-led organizations, alliances, and affinity groups are vital to building a community where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered to be themselves. Whether you’re looking to share traditions, engage in important conversations, or simply connect with others who understand your experiences, there’s a place for you here.

Student Organizations

International Student Ambassadors

International Student Ambassadors (ISAs) help ease the transition for new international students from similar backgrounds by providing guidance, assisting with orientation, and playing an essential role in organizing international events at Loomis.

PRISM

PRISM is a dynamic student organization that fosters a strong sense of belonging by breaking down social barriers and creating a space where students from different cultures can connect, share, and learn from each other. With a commitment to building a familial environment, PRISM members engage in thoughtful discussions, explore social issues, and host events that empower participants to help shape a culture of respect, understanding, and unity at Loomis Chaffee.

Spectrum

Spectrum, Loomis Chaffee’s gender-sexuality alliance, is dedicated to making the Island a safer, more inclusive space for people of all genders and sexual and romantic orientations. Representing LGBTQIA+ students from diverse backgrounds across campus, Spectrum offers vital support while promoting educational discussions and workshops to help allies and prospective allies better understand LGBTQIA+ issues. Spectrum partners with faculty, student organizations, and nearby schools to host engaging events, including dances, movie nights, and discussion forums throughout the school year.
