Instructions for Schedule Changes
Academics
Every student’s schedule has been given individual attention and in most cases first choices were scheduled. Various circumstances, such as conflicts in the master schedule or course enrollment limitations, may have necessitated utilizing the second or third choices you requested. You are welcome to review your schedule with Mrs. Caligiuri (classes of 2026 and 2028), Ms. Saxton (class of 2027), or Mr. Lawrence (class of 2029) and to choose appropriate and available alternate classes.
Scheduling an Appointment with your Academic Dean
Changes to academic schedules will only be made during an appointment with your academic dean. Telephone and e-mail appointment requests or change requests cannot be accommodated.
Please use the links below, on the Academic Office page, or from the Daily Bulletin to request an appointment with Mr. Lawrence, Mrs. Caligiuri, or Ms. Saxton.
Appointments are available for all students after their fall registration has been completed:
- Tuesday, September 2—Friday, September 12
9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sophomores, Seniors, and Post-Graduates — see Mrs. Caligiuri
Juniors — see Ms. Saxton
Freshmen — see Mr. Lawrence
All students must attend assigned classes until their academic dean has officially made a schedule change.
To change elective classes
- Attend your assigned class to be sure about your choice.
- Review the list of available classes and their meeting times (PDF). Read carefully through them and consult with your advisor and with your college counselor if appropriate. Choose at least two alternate options that will fit in to your schedule. It is possible that enrollments may prevent you from a first choice, so the more options you have, the more successful and efficient your appointment will be. Be mindful of all remaining diploma requirements.
- Make an appointment to see your academic dean.
Deadlines
The add/drop period for fall term concludes 5 p.m., Friday, September 12.
The add/drop period for the winter and spring terms concludes at the end of each prior term. To change a course level
- Attend the assigned class and discuss the placement with teacher and advisor.
-
If a level change is in your best interest, as discussed with teacher, advisor and your parents, then obtain written permission from teacher and advisor (by Academic Office form or email from the teacher/advisor).
