Exiled by installation artist Harriet Diamond opened in the Richmond Art Center’s Sue and Eugene Mercy Jr. Gallery on Thursday, November 14 and will continue through January 17, 2020.
Mercy Gallery
The Sue and Eugene Mercy Jr. Gallery, dedicated in honor of former Loomis Trustee Eugene Mercy Jr. ’55 and his wife, Sue, is located in the Richmond Art Center — the campus hub for the visual arts program. Throughout the year, the Mercy Gallery exhibits the work of a variety of artists in a diversity of media, artistic endeavor, cultural influence, and geographic representation. The work of Visiting Artists are displayed in the Mercy Gallery to coincide with their residency on the Island, encouraging direct interaction between artists and students. All exhibitions in the Mercy Gallery are open to the public, as is the opening reception for each artist’s installment.
“TRUTH/NO TRUTH,” an exhibition of James Tyler’s sculpture art is on display in the Sue and Eugene Mercy Jr. Gallery through November 1.

Art exhibitions by Visual Art teachers Jennifer McCandless and Mark Zunino and Loomis Chaffee art students are on display in the Mercy, Barnes, and Wilde galleries through May 30.

Robert Knight, an artist and art professor at Hamilton College, spent the week of May 20–24 working in the Richmond Art Center as a Visiting Artist.

Two solo art exhibitions by Loomis Chaffee Visual Art teachers Jennifer McCandless and Mark Zunino will be on display in the Sue and Eugene Mercy Jr. Gallery from April 30 until May 30, 2019.
