Athletics facilities

At Loomis Chaffee, student-athletes enjoy premier athletic venues and professional-level resources — all within a supportive, close-knit campus environment.

Loomis Chaffee’s athletic facilities include 11 grass playing fields and two synthetic turf fields — one lined for football, field hockey, lacrosse, and soccer, and the other lined for field hockey and lacrosse.

In addition, there are two baseball fields, one softball field, an all-weather eight-lane track, a 5K cross country course, and 12 post-tension concrete tennis courts.

Our indoor facilities include a six-lane 25-meter pool, fitness center, weight room, two gyms, indoor golf simulator, eight squash courts, wellness center, video room, and training and recovery center.

Our hockey rink is home to the girls and boys ice hockey teams and is open to the Loomis community for recreational skating.

Putting on a Pelican jersey means you are part of a winning tradition of sportsmanship and success on the field. Of course, our facilities are just part of the formula for excellence in Loomis athletics.

Where students are empowered to succeed, and inspired to grow.

““On top of becoming a better athlete, being a part of an athletic team at Loomis allows any kid to grow their leadership skills. Not only do our coaches help make us better on the field, rink, track, or course, but they make us better people. Learning how to develop leadership skills such as communication is a life skill that everyone needs.
