Five Loomis Chaffee soccer players received awards at the Connecticut High School Soccer Coaches Association’s annual awards banquet on Sunday, January 22.
Juniors Olivia Beauvois and Louisa Thomsen and senior Sofia Preuss were all named to the All-State team for their performances this fall. Preuss and Beauvois, both defenders, were part of a Loomis unit that gave up only 13 goals in 18 games and had 10 clean sheets. Thomsen, one of the top scorers on the Pelican team, was part of an offensive group that put up 55 goals in 18 games.
On the boys side, seniors Austin Bush and Kieran Chandler received recognition. Bush was named All-State, and Chandler was named All-State and All-Region. Chandler also took part in the Bimbo All-American High School Soccer Game in Panama City, Florida, in December.
