Boys Squash Wins in First Match of New Year
The boys' varsity squash team returned to action after the winter break with a strong showing against Avon Old Farms on Wednesday, January 11, resulting in a 6-1 victory.
Though several boys displayed some rust after the long break, the team found ways to get back into the swing of things and came away with some impressive victories.
Highlights from the match included an impressive showing from freshman Clement Wang, who roared back from a 0-1 hole to win his match 3-1, displaying a high level of composure for in his rookie campaign.
Junior David Wu also shined, recovering well from early deficits in each of his games to win his match 3-1. His relentless energy was too much for his opponent.
Up next, the boys travel to Hotchkiss on Saturday, January 14, for a 4:15 p.m. match against an extremely talented Bearcat squad.
