The Loomis boys’ varsity tennis team got its season off to a strong start on Wednesday, April 3, earning a 6–1 victory over Kent.

The Pelicans set the tone early in doubles play, sweeping all three matches. Senior Trey Dodd and sophomore Andy Yang earned an 8–1 win at the No. 2 spot, while junior Teema Thanunmanee and junior Will Chun took care of business at No. 1, 8–2. Freshman Hayden Meskin teamed up with junior Ridley Gould for another 8–1 win at third doubles, helping Loomis head into singles with a 1–0 lead.
