The Loomis Chaffee boys III basketball team has posted a strong 9-1 record this season thus far. 

Loomis opened the year with a 60-10 home win over Hopkins School on December 10, 2025, and followed with a 53-28 road victory against Taft. The Pelicans continued their success in January, earning a 54-25 win at Choate and a 56-23 home win over Avon Old Farms. 

Road play remained a strength with a 54-25 victory at Frederick Gunn School, before Loomis returned home to defeat Suffield Academy 47-24. The team’s only loss of the season came in a close 39-38 home game against Deerfield Academy on January 28. 

The Pelicans responded to that loss with three straight wins: a 54-25 victory over Williston Northampton, a 37-33 road win in a rematch with Avon Old Farms, and a 69-30 home win over Westminster. 

The team has five more matchups to come, including road games against Worcester Academy on Saturday, February 14; Westminster on February 20; Northfield Mount Hermon on February 21; and Deerfield on February 25; and a home game against Choate on February 18.
