Eric Esposito ’17 Signs Pro Contract

Ice hockey player Eric Esposito ’17 signed a pro contract earlier this month with the Orlando Solar Bears of the East Coach Hockey League after finishing up his season with the Mercyhurst University men’s ice hockey team.

Esposito, who was crowned the Atlantic Hockey Association scoring champion this year after recording 17 goals and 15 assists, so far has played six games with the Solar Bears and recorded an assist.

Before Mercyhurst University, Esposito played at the University of New Hampshire for four years. He was a member of the 2013–14 Loomis Chaffee boys hockey team, which won a large-school New England championship, as well as the 2014–15 team, which earned the program’s first-ever berth in the Elite Eight tournament of the New England Prep School Athletic Conference. After that he played for the Youngstown Phantoms in the United States Hockey League for three years before arriving at the University of New Hampshire.
