2025 Fall Varsity Awards Ceremony

This year’s Fall Varsity Awards Ceremony took place on Sunday, December 7, in Hubbard Performance Hall, where teams and athletes were recognized for their accomplishments.  

The Loomis Chaffee varsity teams combined for a 64–28–4 record this fall. Five teams qualified for the New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC) Class A and Division I tournaments. Three teams earned Founders League Championships. 

Among the season highlights:  

Football captured the Kent Day Spoon for the fifth straight year. 

Volleyball, 16–3, was Founders League Champion for the seventh year in a row and a NEPSAC Class A semifinalist that pushed the undefeated eventual champions in the semifinal.  

Boys cross country, 5–1, won the Founders League Championship and placed third at the New England Prep School Track Association (NEPSTA) Division I Cross Country Championships. 

Girls cross country, 5–0, won the Founders League Championship for the fifth year in a row and placed fifth at the NEPSTA Division I Cross Country Championships. 

Boys Soccer, 14–5, and Girls Soccer, 15–2, were NEPSAC Class A Tournament quarterfinalists.

Volleyball:   

Unsung Hero Award, junior Gillian Tang 

 

Boys Soccer:  

Unsung Hero Award, senior Holden Langlois 

Most Valuable Player, senior Nate Gritzmacher 

Brotherhood Award, senior Boston Childers 

 

Girls Soccer: 

Coaches’ Award, sophomore Addie Gritzmacher 

 

Field Hockey: 

Coaches’ Awards, seniors Megan Hosman and Kathryn Smith 

 

Boys Water Polo: 

Most Valuable Player, senior Georges DeVos 

Rookie of the Year, freshman Daniel Migorodskiy 

Most Improved Player, sophomore Emory Andrews 

 

Girls Cross Country:  

Most Valuable Runner, senior Charlotte Preuss 

Coaches’ Awards, seniors Maleah Cogle and Frieda Bilezikian 

 

Boys Cross Country: 

Most Valuable Athlete, senior Miles Gackstetter 

Coaches’ Award, senior Brennan Kelly 

Most Improved Athlete, freshman Seth Kalansuriya 

 

Football: 

Offensive MVP, senior Amir Knighton 

Defensive MVP, senior James Higgins
