Girls Squash Wins Final Match of Regular Season

The girls varsity squash team wrapped up its regular season with a 6-1 victory over the Millbrook Mustangs on Wednesday, February 15. Next up are the New England Prep School Athletic Conference championships.

In the first round of matches, juniors Ashanti Amastal, playing in the No. 2 spot, and Charlotte Tobin, playing in the No. 4 spot, defeated their opponents 3-0 with expert-level shot placement and relentless effort. Sophomore Nagima Williams and freshman Aditi Bhor, playing in the No. 6 and No. 8 spots respectively, also defeated their opponents 3-0.

The second set of matches saw another round of impressive performances from seniors Princess Davenport and Fiona Murphy, playing in the No. 3 and No. 5 spots, respectively. They overpowered their opponents and showed off their experience with smart shots and great strategy.

Sophomore Molly Bernardi closed things out in the No. 7 spot with another 3-0 victory, helping the team earn its best seeding for the NEPSAC Class B championships. The team, ranked No. 13, will take part in the tournament on Saturday, February 18, at Deerfield Academy. The time of the tournament has yet to be determined.
