The Loomis Chaffee JV volleyball team put together an impressive showing on Thursday, October 16, earning a straight-set win (3–0) over Westminster School’s first-year varsity squad. From the opening serve, the Pelicans played with energy and balance. 

Junior setter Nola Murchinson set the tone, running the offense with confidence and finishing the match with 10 assists, 3 aces, and 2 kills. Junior Charlotte Slayton was a force at the net, leading all hitters with 10 kills and adding 2 aces of her own. 

Loomis controlled the tempo throughout, using steady serving, strong communication, and disciplined defense to keep Westminster on its heels. The match also gave valuable court time to the entire roster, with every player making a contribution to the win. 

The victory extends a strong stretch for the JV squad and offered a great chance to measure themselves against varsity-level competition. The team's next match is at home against Greenwich Academy on Wednesday, October 22, at 3:45 p.m.
