Playoff Preview: Winter 2024
The stage is set for the winter 2024 post-season with five Loomis Chaffee teams competing in championship events.
The boys basketball team finished the regular season with a record of 16-8 and are on a six-game winning streak. Because of their strong finish to the season, the team is the No. 1 seed in the New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC) Class A Tournament and will face Andover on Wednesday, February 28, at 3:30 p.m. in the Olcott Center.
The girls hockey team has been impressive this winter, with their regular-season record coming in at 18-5-2. With this, the team has qualified for the NEPSAC Chuck Vernon Elite Bracket as the fourth seed. The Pelicans will face Kent on Wednesday, February 28, at 3 p.m. in Savage/Johnson Rink.
The girls basketball team is coming off of a dominant regular season, finishing with a 20-5 record and the Founders League title. The team is seeded No. 1 in the NEPSAC Class A Tournament and will face Andover on Wednesday, February 28, at 5:30 p.m. in the Olcott Center.
The girls and boys swimming and diving teams both compete in the New England Prep School Swimming Association (NEPSSA) Championship this week. The divers will contest their event at Suffield Academy on Wednesday, February 28, and the teams travel to Andover for Saturday and Sunday, March 2–3, to compete in the swimming events.
