Schwarz and Stepnowski Reach 100 Career Points

Senior ice hockey players Annie Schwarz and Lindsay Stepnowski each reached the 100-career-point milestone this season, a significant achievement for the Loomis Chaffee girls varsity hockey program.

Schwarz recorded her 100th point on February 13 against Pomfret, reaching the mark in exactly 100 career games. Stepnowski followed on February 21 against Williston, attaining 100 points in just 93 games.

Head coach Liz Leyden reflected on the milestone, saying, “Coaching this group of seniors has been a privilege, and to have both Annie and Lindsay achieve the 100-point milestone in the same season is remarkable. They are just the fourth and fifth players of mine over the past 17 years to do so, and the first since 2020.”

Schwarz will continue her academic and athletic career at Yale University next year while Stepnowski will do so at Harvard University.

Pairing consistent offensive production with leadership and a strong commitment to team culture, Schwarz and Stepnowski have been key members of the Loomis program for four years.

“Both Lindsay and Annie have had a major impact on the girls varsity hockey team since they arrived on the Island as ninth-graders, contributing to our team’s success in all facets of the game,” Liz said. “They have helped raise the standard of our team on and off the ice.”
