For the first time in almost two years, community members at Loomis Chaffee were able to watch and cheer on spring sports teams as the Pelicans competed in scrimmages Friday and Saturday, April 9–10.

The boys and girls tennis teams, the boys lacrosse team, the baseball team, and the boys and girls golf teams all competed against Westminster in a two-game series, while the boys and girls track and field teams competed in a virtual scrimmage against Westminster on Saturday.

“It was awesome to see our campus again on gameday. People were outside, cheering on their friends and peers, and there was an excitement that we hadn’t felt in a long time. We can’t wait to do it all over again next weekend,” said Director of Athletics Sue Cabot.

Up next for Loomis, teams will play against Hotchkiss in a home-and-home series on Saturday and Sunday, April 17–18.  You can find the full schedule online on the Loomis athletics website.
