12 Student-Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent

On Thursday, November 11, 12 student-athletes from various varsity programs at Loomis Chaffee made their collegiate decisions official by signing letters of intent with their respective colleges or universities.

The signing ceremony was the first of three that will happen in the academic year. The National Letter of Intent is a binding agreement between a prospective student-athlete and a college or university in which a prospective student-athlete agrees to attend the institution full-time for one academic year (two semesters or three quarters) and the institution agrees to provide athletics financial aid for one academic year (two semesters or three quarters).

“It’s an incredible honor for our athletes, and it’s the culmination of all their hard work in the classroom and on the playing field. This is a celebration for them and their families, and we as a school couldn’t be more proud of them,” said Director of Athletics Sue Cabot.
