Senior defender Jack Anderson of the Loomis Chaffee boys varsity soccer team was recently named to the 2020 Bimbo High School All-American Game, to be played in St. Louis, Mo., on May 29.
The game will feature 55 of the country’s top seniors from states that play a fall season of soccer, with 13 percent of the participants coming from New England.
Anderson, along with senior teammates Jon Murphy, Eamon Moylan, and Nick Bellak, were placed on the All-American Game watchlist in the fall, and from the watch list Anderson was selected for the final game. All four seniors are planning to play at college next year, Anderson at Syracuse University, Murphy at Boston College, Moylan at Davidson College, and Bellak at Trinity College.
"I am honored to be able to play in this game, and it is really cool to do so even though we weren’t able to play in the fall. I get to follow in the footsteps of several other Loomis soccer players.” Michael Suski ’19 and Akeim Clarke ’20 both participated in this game their senior years.
At Syracuse, which plays in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Anderson will face off in league play against several former teammates in the conference, including Clarke at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and Suski, Zach Peter ’19 and Murphy at Boston College.
