Giuttari ’16 Breaks Records for Hamilton Field Hockey

With goals against Trinity College and Tufts University on October 12 and 13, Michaela Giuttari ’16 became the all-time leading goal scorer and all-time points leader for Hamilton College’s field hockey program.

In Hamilton’s 1-0 win over Trinity, Giuttari scored the lone goal when she deflected a shot off of a corner into the goal, scoring the 52nd goal of her career at Hamilton.

Then, in a 2-3 loss against No. 7 Tufts, Giuttari scored the second goal of the game when she carried the ball from the top of the arc down towards the left goal post. Her shot was deflected off of a Tufts defender’s stick and sailed over the goaltender for her 53rd goal, and 127th career point, another program record.

Besides being a field hockey All-American, Giuttari is an All-New England Small College Athletic Conference ice hockey player at Hamilton. She was a standout on the ice and on the turf at Loomis, where she garnered All-New England and All-American honors as well.
