Ally Hammel '15, was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the week on Monday, marking the fourth time in her career that she has earned this accolade.
The Duxbury, Mass., native shined during Boston University's season-opening tournament, in which the Terriers played against both Bryant University and the University of New Hampshire.
Ally leads a defense that has yet to give up a goal and is a huge part of why the Terriers find themselves ranked 16th in the country and undefeated after their two-game classic. Earlier this year Hammel was named the Preseason Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, and she has proved during the first week of the season that this nomination was no mistake.
At Loomis, Ally was a named a 2014 Third Team All-American and a 2014 Western New England All-Star. She also lettered in track and field. See what Boston University has to say about their All-Star back so far this year.
