With close to 50 runners and four coaches, the LCXC boys program welcomes hardy veteran runners and utter rookies alike. Workouts find us in two groups on opposite sides of grassy running fields, in the pool for water drills, and in clusters of five and six taking on our choice of routes along the Connecticut River and into the river valley farmlands. All workouts find us celebrating a team spirit intensified by the camaraderie of the flocks of Pelican harriers.
Competing in tri-meets on Saturdays, LCXC thrives on well-placed hard, medium, and easy workouts and even full recovery days between races. Among season highlights are the full-team participation at the NMH Invitational, our dual meet with Trinity-Pawling, and the Founders League Championships.
Each season boasts both returning varsity runners and veteran JVs who look to welcome newcomers to LCXC, from post-graduate to freshman, all eager to do the Pelicans proud.
