The Loomis Athletics Department hosted the annual Fall Varsity Awards ceremony on Sunday night, December 2. Friends and families, as well as the fall varsity teams and their coaches, gathered in the Hubbard Performance Hall to honor the teams and their players on a great season.

Loomis girls volleyball has earned a reputation as one of the top prep school programs in New England. Competing in the Founders League and Class A New England prep division, Loomis boasts an ambitious 19-game schedule, and the Pelicans are among the top teams in the league year in and year out.
Our knowledgeable coaches bring a combined total of more than 30 years of experience in addition to their college play. LC prides itself on creating competitive student-athletes who understand the value of incorporating the game of volleyball into life. Teamwork and excellent sportsmanship are the cornerstones of our program both on and off the court.
The volleyball program practices and plays in the Olcott Center, an outstanding volleyball venue. The program has produced numerous Division III college players and several Division I athletes.
The girls volleyball team defeated Phillips Exeter Academy in straight sets on Sunday, November 18, to claim Loomis Chaffee's first ever Class A New England Prep School Athletic Conference title.
On Saturday, November 17, three Loomis Chaffee varsity teams will play in New England tournament semifinal action. The boys soccer team, girls soccer team, and girls volleyball team will all be competing for a chance to play in Class A New England Prep School Athletic Conference championships on Sunday, November 18.
It is fall tournament season on the Island! Three Loomis Chaffee teams — boys cross country, girls cross country, and boys water polo — competed in New England championships on Saturday, November 10, and three other squads — boys soccer, girls soccer, and girls volleyball — will play in New England tournament quarterfinal games at home on Wednesday, November 14.
The girls varsity volleyball team captured its first Founders League title since 2015 with a three-set sweep of Kingswood Oxford on Wednesday, October 31, in Olcott Gymnasium.
