The Loomis boys golf program has a tradition of success in the Founders League. We have won many championships and have sent numerous student athletes to play intercollegiate golf. We play a competitive schedule at some of the finest golf venues in the Northeast and host the annual Bader Tournament each spring. Outdoor practice facilities on campus include a synthetic putting green, a sand trap, and acreage for driving-range practice. In addition, we have an indoor practice facility equipped with the latest video equipment to enhance player performance. Our home matches are played at the scenic, Pete Dye-designed Wintonbury Hills Golf Club. The team also travels to PGA Village in St. Lucie, Florida, each spring for preseason practice. Each week the boys compete for varsity seeding, ensuring a competitive program that fosters the growth and development of all our student athletes.
The boys varsity gold team won the Coppola Cup on Tuesday, May 9, competing against local foes Avon Old Farms, Suffield, and Kingswood Oxford.
All three golf teams — boys varsity and JV and girls varsity — beat their opponents on Saturday, April 22, against strong competition.
