The girls varsity basketball team hosted Deerfield Academy on Saturday, February 10, and put on an offensive show, beating the Big Green 75-39.

Girls basketball at Loomis has earned a reputation throughout New England for hard-court excellence. Pelican basketball is fun, challenging, and competitive; team members are hard-working, dedicated athletes who love the game of basketball. The program stresses individual skills and personal improvement as well as the importance of team concepts. The varsity team plays a full interscholastic schedule of competitors in the Founders League and from around New England.
The team competes in the competitive Class A New England league as well as the Founders League and consistently fields a program that fosters excellence both on and off the court. We look forward to welcoming you into our program.
The girls basketball team defeated Founders League foe Taft on the road on Wednesday, January 24, in a hard-fought, well-played game by both teams.
The girls varsity basketball team took on the Wild Boars of Choate in Wallingford, Conn., on Thursday, January 18, and the Pelicans came out on top 56-41.
The girls basketball team had a busy weekend, hosting Berkshire on Friday night and then traveling to New York City on Sunday to take part in the Say Yes to Success showcase, in which they faced off against Roselle Catholic of New Jersey.
The girls basketball team captured its first Founders League win of the season on Saturday, January 6, doubling up on Kent 86-43 in the Olcott Center.
