Girls Varsity Basketball
Girls basketball at Loomis Chaffee has earned a reputation throughout New England for hard-court excellence. Pelican basketball is fun, challenging, and competitive; team members are hard-working, dedicated athletes who love the game of basketball. The program stresses individual skills and personal improvement as well as the importance of team concepts. The varsity team plays a full interscholastic schedule of competitors in the Founders League and from around New England.
The team competes in the competitive Class A New England division as well as the Founders League and consistently fields a program that fosters excellence both on and off the court.

Adrian StewartHead Coach
Adrian joined the Loomis Chaffee community in 2000 when he volunteered in the athletic training room while completing his Master’s of Physical Therapy from the American International College and then became a full faculty member in 2001. Adrian is currently the Head of Physical Therapy here at Loomis. He holds a license in physical therapy through the CT state department of Public health, a certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
Adrian began coaching at Loomis as the assistant coach for the boys varsity basketball team where they made the tournament every year but one. In 2008 he took over as the head girls basketball coach. Adrian is also an assistant coach for varsity football where he has coached almost every position and is the current defensive coordinator. He is also the sprints coach for boys track and field team.

Chloe AlexanderAssistant Coach
Chloe Alexander ’12 returns to the Island as the director of multicultural recruitment and associate director of admission. Prior to returning to Loomis, Chloe served as assistant director of admission, assistant women’s basketball coach, dorm parent, and English teacher at the Springfield Commonwealth Academy. Chloe earned her bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary.
Chloe lives in Cutler Hall with her fiancé, their daughter, and two pups. If they are not walking the Loop, they are probably walking through the beautiful Meadows on campus. A Virginia native, Chloe is happy to be back up in New England working for her alma mater.
