Coed Varsity Skiing

The Loomis Chaffee Alpine Ski Team is a diverse and dedicated group of student-athletes who share a passion for skiing, competition, and teamwork. Our racers come with a wide range of experience—from athletes who compete in U.S. Ski & Snowboard (USSS) events to those racing for the first time.

Regardless of experience, every skier has the opportunity to develop, contribute, and grow.

The winter season begins with dry-land training focused on strength, conditioning, team building, and goal setting. Following Winter Break, the team moves to on-snow training at Ski Sundown, where athletes develop their technical skills through Giant Slalom and Slalom training. Practices are held Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with races on Wednesdays. This schedule also allows athletes to continue competing in USSS events while representing Loomis.

Loomis fields Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, and a Co-Ed JV team and competes in the Class B division of the New England Prep School Skiing Conference. More than a competitive program, the Alpine Ski Team is a community built on hard work, sportsmanship, perseverance, and support for one another.
