Former Loomis Chaffee swimmer Kelly Hanlon '17 is excelling in the water at University of Pennsylvania but this time on the sailing team, which placed second at the Intercollegiate Sailing Association Match Race National Championship in November.

The Quakers sailing squad finished just behind Boston College in the final race, taking second place after three days of racing at the Balboa Yacht Club at Newport Beach, California. For a full recap of the three-day event, check out the ICSA recap.

Kelly is the only female on her boat and was in charge of the bow during all of the team's races. While at Loomis, Kelly helped the girls varsity swim team capture Founders League titles in 2016 and 2017, and she played for the varsity tennis team.
