Families Enjoy a Virtual Glimpse of Island Life     

Loomis Chaffee hosted a Virtual Family Visit October 29–30 in place of the annual on-campus Family Weekend this year in an effort to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Elm Trees Planted for Ecosystem Study

Scientists from the Nature Conservancy and Loomis Chaffee students and faculty planted disease-resistant American elm trees along the Joffray Trail, named for faculty legend Don Joffray, on the Island as part of a project related to preserving the ecosystems of the Connecticut River floodplain.
