Thanks to nearly 4,000 donors, Loomis Chaffee's 2017-18 Annual Fund totaled a record-breaking $4,452,770. We are tremendously grateful for the generosity of alumni, parents, and friends who come through for us year after year.

Classmates of Amanda Crosby '93 shared a reflective moment during their 25th Reunion in June, and invited Amanda's parents, John and Betsy Crosby, to join them in the Meadows at a bench dedicated in her memory.
7th Annual Connecticut Printmakers Invitational in Mercy Gallery September 18 – October 25
The Visual Arts Department will begin the 2018–19 season of Richmond Art Center exhibitions by hosting the 7th Annual Connecticut Printmakers Invitational in the Mercy Gallery.
Shultz Fellows Featured in Harvard GSE's "Making Caring Common" Blog
Loomis Chaffee joined a national coalition of schools in Harvard GSE's #CommonGood Campaign in 2017, and a recent post in Harvard's "Making Caring Common" blog highlights the activities of Loomis' student-led Shultz Fellows club.
Common Good Leadership Course Concludes Inaugural Session in 2018 LC Summer Program
Participants in the Loomis Chaffee Summer Program's inaugural Common Good Leadership course shared their reflections at the conclusion of the five-week immersive learning experience in late July.

Two Alums Earn Patriot League Preseason Honors
Ally Hammel '15, senior on the women's field hockey team at Boston University, and Abby Sotomayor '16, junior on the women's soccer team at Colgate University, both earned All-Preseason honors in the Patriot League in their respective sports.
Lindsay Gabow '12 Trains for Marine Corps Marathon
U.S. Army First Lieutenant Lindsay Gabow '12 is in training for the Marine Corps Marathon in October, and completed her first half marathon in Texas on July 21.
Experienced Coaches Linda Hathorn and Courtney Jackson Will Lead Girls Varsity Soccer This Fall
Linda Hathorn and Courtney Jackson, both experienced players and coaches, will join Loomis Chaffee's Athletics Department as the coaches of Loomis' two-time N.E. championship-winning girls varsity soccer program.
