Reunion Weekend 2022 COVID-19 Protocols

As we plan for the arrival of alumni and their guests to the Loomis Chaffee campus, the Alumni Office is taking great care to manage any risks associated with COVID-19.

Testing Policy

In consideration of the health and safety of reunion alumni, guests, and our campus community, attendees are required to take an at-home COVID-19 antigen test the morning of their planned arrival, regardless of vaccination status. If the test returns a positive result, we ask that attendees remain home and not attend Reunion Weekend. The school does not require proof of a negative result.

Before arriving on campus, we ask attendees to self-monitor for any COVID-19 symptoms and not travel to campus if any symptoms below are present within the most recent 48 hours:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Attendees must also refrain from attending Reunion Weekend should the following occur:

  • You have been diagnosed with COVID-19 within seven days prior to June 10, 2022.
  • You are suspected to have COVID-19 in the seven days prior to June 10, 2022.
  • You have been identified as a close contact of someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the 10 days prior to June 10, 2022.

Masking Policy

We strongly encourage everyone to wear a surgical-style mask in indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status.

By registering for Reunion Weekend, you are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By attending this event, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and release The Loomis Chaffee School (including its affiliates, Trustees, officers, employees, and volunteers) from any and all liability for any illness or injury arising from or in any way related to this event. Events are subject to all local and state public health guidelines and rules.

The school trusts that those attending Reunion Weekend 2022 will follow these guidelines. COVID-19 protocols, including those related to masking, vaccination, and testing are subject to change, and we will communicate updates with all registrants as needed.
