Grounded in a tradition of excellence, the Loomis Chaffee field hockey program is committed to working hard, having fun, competing every day, and along with the school mission, becoming the best self for the common good.

As members of the Founders League, the Western New England Prep League, and New England Prep School Athletic Conference Class A, the Pelicans compete against some of the top teams in New England year in and year in out. 

Loomis Chaffee field hockey welcomes newcomers and veterans to the sport. We are dedicated to teaching the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-respect while fostering a family atmosphere of inclusivity where each athlete can reach their full potential. Playing with dignity and committed to excellence, we pledge to uphold the standards necessary to succeed as a Loomis student athlete.

Our daily training includes skill work, speed and conditioning, weight-training, mindfulness, goal-setting, and nutrition for the female athlete.
