Teacher Support
The Brush Library supports teachers in developing research assignments and providing instruction on information literacy.
As stated in the library’s mission: “By supporting the community’s research needs and teaching a comprehensive, patron-centered information literacy curriculum, library faculty and staff advance the school’s mission to prepare students for higher education and lifelong learning.”
The library can support teachers and their classes in a variety of ways:
- Overview of library resources
- Orientation of the library space and services
- Teaching research and information literacy skills
- Creating screencast tutorials, examples
- Assisting teachers with curriculum and assignment development
- Creating research guides (LibGuides) for a project or course
