Three members of the Loomis Chaffee softball team participated in the Western New England Prep School Girls Softball Association’s annual All-Star Game on May 7, where Loomis coach Betsy Conger received a service award for her long tenure as a coach and supporter of softball in New England.

Program Overview
Loomis softball continues to build our program through the excellence of our coaching staff and the determination and work ethic of our players.
Loomis competes in both the Founders League and Class A of the competitive New England Prep School Softball League. Our experienced and dedicated coaching staff combine to bring a high level of competitive energy and knowledge to the program. With a preseason trip to Disney in March, our coaches stress the importance of fundamentals as well as strategic positioning at each practice and game. Loomis is always eager to welcome more new players to the program and looks forward to building upon the success of recent seasons.

Five teams traveled to Florida during the March break this year hoping to spring into action ahead of their seasons.
The girls varsity softball team defeated Suffield Academy 3-2 on Saturday, May 14, to improve to 8-4 on the season and remain in the postseason hunt.
The varsity softball team defeated Northfield Mount Hermon 16-0 on Wednesday, April 20, on the back of a no-hit performance from freshman pitcher Jessica Chieco.
