Learning Access & Student Achievement

In service of Loomis Chaffee’s mission to nurture the best self and the common good, the Office of Learning Access & Student Achievement is dedicated to helping students and faculty develop fundamental skills and strategies that enhance academic achievement. Loomis recognizes that all students have different strengths and challenges that make up their learning profiles. The goal of the office is to foster students’ independence and responsibility for their own education at Loomis and beyond. The office also helps teachers address students’ diverse learning needs through differentiation of instruction and assessment.

The Office of Learning Access & Student Achievement focuses on developing understanding of and proficiency in areas that underlie course content across the curriculum, such as time management for work completion and studying, organization of academic materials, memory, test anxiety, and planning.
